The North Wind and the Sun

"The North Wind and the Sun" by Aesop

The North Wind and the Sun disputed as to which was the most powerful, and agreed to a contest to prove it. The rules were simple: the first one who could get a Traveler passing on the road beneath them to remove his coat would be declared the winner. The North Wind first tried his power and blew with all his might, but the stronger he blew, the closer the Traveler wrapped his coat around him, until at last, giving up, the Wind called upon the Sun to see what he could do. The Sun suddenly shined with all his warmth. The Traveler no sooner felt his kind rays than he took off his coat and basked in the warm sunlight.

And so the Sun taught the North Wind an important lesson:
